Chris Porter is a songwriter, producer, singer, writer and vocal coach.

 

Currently signed to Warner Chappell, he has written with and for artists as diverse as Dagny, Dzeko, Jonas Hahn, Amy Pearson, Slot Machine, Max Buskohl, Joe Publick, Darla Jade, Da Endorphine, Rose Liu, Press to Meco and Dave Giles (amongst many others) and hit the No.1 spot with Thailand’s Singto Numchok.

 

He’s co-written 3 highly successful albums for West One Music which have had thousands of uses all around the globe including: Love Is Blind (Netflix), Black Mirror (Netflix/C4), Too Hot To Handle (Netflix), Singles Inferno (Netflix), The One Show (BBC) and Children In Need (BBC), as well as an international placement for Toyota cars. He's currently working on 3 albums for releases later this year.

 

He wrote and produced the end credits song for Lord Attenborough’s final movie Closing the Ring (starring Shirley MacLaine, Christopher Plummer and Pete Postlethwaite) and also co-wrote same for 2015’s movie Swung.

 

Chris added lead vocals to Mike Thomas’ follow up to The Juliet LettersA River of Tender Blood, which he performed on a Spanish tour with chamber orchestra and also to the Mapsongs project, which he co-wrote with John Metcalfe

 

As a vocal coach, Chris has been engaged to host residential vocal camps at Karma Sound Studios in Thailand and also led students to the finals of UK TV talent shows.

 

He supported Sting (performing vocals for Dagny) on his ‘Back to Bass’ tour and managed the band FranKo, who won Best Rock Band in the inaugural Online Music Awards.

 

He’s currently working on exciting new material with a number of emerging artists in the UK and internationally. January 2022 saw Chris at Abbey Road 2 working on the sophomore album from Dave Giles - due out later this year.

 

He's also in demand as a pundit, contributing articles, essays and reviews to a number of online forums and services.
